JAPG HELPFUL HINT ! This is the special alloy key that fits into the aligning cut outs in both the top of the crankshaft and the flywheel. It locks the two parts together. Its purpose is to keep the ignition timing correct. If you hit something like a rock while mowing these keys are designed to shear off so that other parts don't get damaged. Once sheared off your ignition timing will be completely out so you will need to fit a new one of these to correct the fault,
