This fantastic special tool is a must for all small engine repair centres, hire centre's, garden machinery repair workshops or just the home mechanic.
This tool enables easy and accurate testing of ignition coils and spark plugs.
This is specially produced for small engines and has a nice long lead.
With this tester unit you can first test to see if you have a spark at all at the plug, If you don't then it could be the coil or the wiring at fault. If you don't have a spark, you can then test to see if you have a spark from the coil without the plug. If you do then this would show the plug to be faulty instead of the coil, which in many cases would save you the expense of buying a coil you don't actaully need !
The tester has a sealed in clear window to check if a spark is jumping the gap as shown in the photo below:
